More than 94 years of Chance engineering experience and construction expertise with helical anchors have derived special techniques, tools, designs and sizes with unique advantages. Chance helical anchors extend bearing plates into stable strata under expansive surface soils without significant disturbance.

Chance engineering expertise, with 1,400,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing facilities, leads the world in anchor development and quality. Chance also markets to electric and telephone utilities and the pipeline industry. For your assurance of high quality, the Chance Company manufacturing system has earned registration by ISO certification. When you specify Chance, you have selected the highest caliber products from the leader of the industry.

Typical applications are deepened foundation anchors for new construction and stabilizing/lifting repairs of existing foundations. Compression loads and soil conditions dictate the Chance anchor solution. In many soils, the steel anchors alone provide the needed performance. Only where soils are near “impossible,” do Chance anchors and grout need to be combined. HELICAL PIER® Foundation Systems anchors are designed for installation ease and to maximize load capacity of each helix. This method is effective in soil conditions which support the steel anchor shafts against buckling. HELICAL PULLDOWN ™ Micropiles anchors are designed for weak surface soil conditions. For higher loads such as commercial and industrial construction or expansion applications, these micropiles incorporate a grout column around the steel anchor shafts for added lateral support. Displacement plates added at extension joints form a void in the soil filled by a grout reservoir on grade as the anchor is torqued into the soil. Column may be sleeved during installation if required.
